Spent this past weekend at NCComicon with my writing partner, Jeff Mariotte.

It's a mid-sized con (I heard an unofficial attendance number for Saturday of 4,000) made of pure win, with great staff, a great location, awesome guests and attendees, and some really cool panel offerings. I got to meet some wonderful comic book people, including Tommy Lee Edwards, Sanford Greene, Jamal Igle, and Ron Marz, and I also got my picture taken with the incomparable Gail Simone:

Vandroid is the main character from a comic book series Jeff is editing that's going to be a lot of fun. Here's the whole crew looking cool in front of Vandroid's namesake van:

The only downside to the weekend is that I did not get to announce the comic book-related novel I've been working on at my and Jeff's panel (which was sadly opposite the Costume Showcase), but hopefully that will happen very soon. All in all, it was a great con and I loved NC and I'd be happy to go back.
