John had some good comments and asked to see more, so that helps remove the sting a bit.
Also got my print galleys for the book (the last set was electronic). Sent them back to my editor on Friday, so now the book is officially out of my hands. Best of luck, little novel! Make us proud!
Everything Else
EB's Spring Break started today. He ended the quarter with 4 A's, a B+, and a solid B. I'm very proud of him. :)
So, it looks like I'll be going to GenCon. Paid my registration Friday and I'll probably book my flight and room next week. Luckily, I should be able to write off much of the trip as a business expense, since I'll be going to promote my book. I think I'm going to stay in the same hotel as Jeff LaSala and his brother, so we'll carpool and split parking. That way I shouldn't have to rent a car.
This will be my first GenCon (the SoCal one doesn't really count, because we only went for like 2 hours on one day) and I'm looking forward to finally meeting a lot of my fellow authors face to face. Turns out one of the guys my hubby is deployed with is from Bloomington, so I may try to get together with his wife at some point during the trip, too. Should be a lot of fun.
