Stripped the poem that wanted to be a story down to bare bones; we'll see if it works. If not, it will languish in the trunk for awhile. That ought to teach it. Heh.
Everything Else
We are leaving for CA in the morning, so had our early Christmas tonight. Hubby spoiled me with over eight carats of sapphires, two carats of gorgeous white topaz, and an 18" strand of pearls. Then again, he got a motorcycle, so maybe I'm not the spoiled one. Heh.
(Keep in mind, these gifts make up for almost a year's worth of missed birthdays, anniversaries, and assorted other gift-giving opportunities...but, yeah, still spoiled.)
The kids made out like bandits, as usual - video games, DVDs, and Thomas the Train toys. They went to sleep happy.
I probably won't update again until just before New Year's, so to all my faithful readers, I wish you the most joyous of holidays, filled with all the people and things you love most. Merry Christmas, all!
