I've posited elsewhere that when editors say, "soon," they mean the exact same thing that I do when I say it to my kids. The editors at DSF are an exception to that general rule, however, with a quick 1-week response time. Can't complain about that, even if it was a rejection, heh.
Everything Else
We go in today to find out the results of the labs taken while YB had his bronchoscopy. He is still clearing his throat, and it is noticeably worse when he's eating, but overall it's gotten much better since he's been back on the Prevacid. I'm sure the allergy shots are helping, too. I think once we get those nasty adenoids out, he'll improve dramatically. Hopefully we can schedule the procedure over Fall Break, so he doesn't miss any school.
In other news, YB has officially started Tiger Cubs, and hubby is now the Assistant Den Leader. I know we all had a great time when EB was in Scouts -- we were part of a really terrific pack back in OC -- and I hope the same is true this time around.
In other, other news, Max is doing well, and I think he's put on some weight, which is great. We've been able to add sweet potatoes, rice and corn back into his diet without any real issues, so I'm sure that's helped a lot. He has scans and his endoscopy next week, so hopefully it will continue to be good news on all fronts for him.
And, finally, a big WELCOME HOME and THANK YOU to all the men and women returning from Iraq. Very few people truly understand the sacrifices our troops make -- many of them over and over again -- to protect the freedom we so enjoy here in America and to spread that freedom around the world. My hat is off to them, and their families. We wouldn't be the great nation we are today if it weren't for the blood, sweat and tears of military families. Enjoy your homecoming -- you deserve it!
