Writing news? Not quite yet, my pretties...soon. Soon. Heh.
In the meantime, I think it's worth noting that DDO has been recognized as the Most Innovative MMO of the Decade. So why are you not playing this game???? It will give you something to do until The Shard Axe comes out!
Everything Else
Back before Max was diagnosed with neuroblastoma and we thought the worst health challenge our baby was going to face was Congestive Heart Failure due to his VSD, I became aware of this worthy organization: The Congenital Heart Defect Awareness Quilt Project, which was created "to promote greater public awareness of Congenital Heart Defects (CHD), while honoring the strength, courage, and commitment of all those born with a CHD and their families." I requested a quilt block to be made for Max, just two weeks before his cancer diagnosis. A lifetime ago, it seems.
Well, I just received word that the block has been completed (though not yet added to a quilt), and I wanted to share it with you all. Here it is:

Long-time readers may recognize "Blue Jean Teddy" from Max's nursery decor. You'll also notice I blocked out his exact date of birth and middle and last names. Lately, there's been a rash of ID thefts targeting pediatric cancer patients (disgusting, I know), so I figure -- better paranoid than broke, heh.
