So, in an effort to distract myself from Ash Wednesday hunger pangs, I've been scouring the internets in search of the perfect visual for Sabira, the main character of The Shard Axe. I haven't been able to find an actress who suits my mental image of her, so I've had to resort to a mix of fictional characters.
Red Sonja, from the cover of Queen of the Frozen Wastes #1 (though better armored and not quite so...ahem...buxom):

and
Black Widow, aka Natalia Romanova (minus the gun, of course, and with different colored eyes):

Not perfect, but close. I can't wait to see how the cover artist depicts her. I was really pleased with how well Michael Komarck captured Andri for the cover of Legacy of Wolves; I can only hope the artist for The Shard Axe does as good a job with Sabira.
Everything Else
Busy month ahead in Marcyville. There's the ghostwriting gig and another tie-in short, plus Spring Break for the two oldest boys and planning and throwing a joint birthday party for me and Max. March came in like a herd of cats and it looks like it's going to go out like a chicken with its head cut off. Fun times.
