Writing

Finally finished the outline for the first book of my paranormal profiler series, and am just getting comments back from a few folks I asked to look it over. My favorite comment was "ambitious" (aka "you may have bitten off more than you can chew," heh). But, hey, go big or go home, right?

Now I just need to trim it for prospective agent/editor consumption and then do up synopses for the next two-five books. And keep plugging away on the sequel to The Shard Axe (which you'll note finally has the correct cover art up, though it's a bit on the dark side). Plus hit a couple of conventions in there somewhere, too. Busy writer is busy, heh.

Everything Else

Busy with sick kids (sinus infections, asthma and allergies, oh my!), too, but somehow I still find time to keep up with two of my other passions, Husker football and Wonder Woman. My Huskers are debuting at #10 on the AP Poll - another top ten start for Nebraska! Woot! And Brian Azzarello has some very interesting things to say about the Wonder Woman comic reboot, of which I'll leave you with the following nuggets:
"You just touched on something as far as the Trinity goes; there's no such thing as the trinity. That's invented you know. There's Superman and there's Batman and there's everybody else," he says.

But that's not the way he intends to leave it: "So what I want to do, I want to create that damn trinity. I want it to mean something."
and
"People need to relax, she's not wearing pants. But it's not going to be a superhero book. I can guarantee you that, it's not a superhero book. It's a horror book."

I hate to admit it, but I'm interested, in spite of my overall hatred DC's universe-wide reboot (no Donna Troy???), and I'll probably be picking this up in September.

And with that fun update, it's back to writing! Be good while I'm gone, internet!
