RELEASE DAY!

It's finally here - The Shard Axe Release Day! The Kindle edition especially seems to be moving briskly:

Thanks all for the pre-orders!
In other related news, there may be a book club coming up, I'll have some more interviews/guest blogs in the coming days, and the awesome folks over at DDOcast are running a contest w/a signed copy of the book as one of the many cool prizes. More details as I get them.
I won't have time to post much of a CopperCon recap, unfortunately (Deadline Hell, alas), but I did get to hang with some awesome folks, including my BFF Gini Koch, the ever-awesome Jeff Mariotte, Mr. Mollusk (aka David Lee Summers), fun-in-a-bottle Janni Lee Simner and her husband, poet Larry Hammer (who introduced me to "necropants" - thanks so much for that, guys!), the ethereal Janeen O'Kerry and her son, and the very wise (but not at all old) Jacqueline Lichtenberg and her husband, as well as Raul, Lee, Nadine, Penny, Terry, Daniel, Richard and more folks I know I'm forgetting (sorry!) but who made the con a ton of fun and a big success. Did some great panels (including the poetry workshop, which was better attended than I expected), got the lowdown on the DC reboot, watched some regency dancing, may have landed some more tie-in work, was awarded a new nickname ("Snarcy") and have apparently (knock on wood) avoided the crud. Can't wait til the next one!
Everything Else
Took Max to see the nephrologist today and she's very pleased with his blood pressures. We're taking him off his medicine and will monitor him for a month or so to see how he does, but it looks like we may get to cross one more specialist off the list. Yaay!
Max also has an appointment at the oncology clinic on Friday for blood work and urinalysis, but I don't expect that to be anything worth posting about (yaay! again).
