A WHIRLING CONTRACT-SIGNING DERVISH

So, I may have mentioned that I've been a whirling contract-signing dervish the past few weeks, and now I can finally share what some of those contracts are for. (There's one more still in the works, so you'll have to wait a bit longer for that announcement. Yeah, I know, I'm a tease. Heh.)
...drum roll, please...
As some of you may have read in Publisher's Marketplace (ahem), I've sold three installments in a new series called "Tales of Sand and Sorcery" to Musa Publishing, under their Urania Speculative Fiction imprint. Here's the series blurb:
"In a land of desert intrigue, where water is wealth and fortune favors the strong, there is only one force more powerful than tradition - the women who take up sword to defy it."
These stories will be released primarily as ebooks, on a once-a-month schedule. I believe the first story, "Shaala, Made of Stone," will be released inlate October January. Once I know the exact date, I'll post it here (and everywhere else I can think of, heh).
(And, yes, "Shaala," is a reprint, but I don't know that many of you saw it in its original incarnation, so here's your chance to own the new and improved version!)
Everything Else
During the last few days of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, I'd like to direct you over to the fundraising page for Max's Runnin' Crew: the Express Lane is Open. These five marathoners are trying to raise $1000 each for PCH, and they are running in Max's honor. So many of you have asked what you can do for Max - this would be one great way to show your support, and to help not only him, but the many other children facing life-threatening diseases who are treated at PCH.
Here's an easy way you can help, and get some yummy food in the bargain (Phoenix metro resident only - sorry)! Go here and download the flyer. Fill it out with one of our runners' names (or the whole team) and then go to any area Rubios location on October 12th. 20% of your purchase will be donated to PCH and credited toward the fundraising total for Max's Runnin' Crew. Come on - you know you love fish tacos! And this way, those tacos will make an impact on more than just your waistline! ;)
