Writing

Just a few news-y things. First, I have confirmed with my editor that Skein of Shadows will indeed be an ebook-only release, at least for the time being. Many of you have asked how you can get both it and The Shard Axe in ebook form if you live outside the US. I don't have an answer for you yet, except to say that WotC is aware of the difficulty and is trying to resolve it as quickly as possible. There's legal stuff involved, so it could take some time, but keep your fingers crossed. I would just plead for you to be patient rather than resort to piracy - I don't see a penny when you download an illegal copy and, more importantly, it isn't counted towards my sales figures. Which means you get to enjoy my work this time while virtually ensuring there won't be a next time, because low sales figures for a publisher = no more contracts with that publisher.

Also, I've gotten permission to post exclusive excerpts from SoS here in the months leading up to release. So, beginning in April and continuing through July, I will be giving you a little teaser of what you can expect from Sabira and Greddark. First Monday of the month - don't miss it!

I also confirmed that Legacy of Wolves will indeed be coming out in Kindle format - hopefully there will be an Amazon listing up in the next week or so. I will, of course, post a link to it the nanosecond I have one, heh.

Finally, don't forget, "The Jade and Honey Harlot" releases tomorrow! Check back for a link to my accompanying guest post over at the Musa Blog and, I don't know...maybe a giveaway? ;)

Everything Else

Max has his first visit to the "Survivor" clinic today. I'm a little nervous to meet all the new doctors, but excited at this big milestone for Max, too. It's a very nice early birthday present for both of us. :)

Also, Happy Ides! Heh.
