More sales!
I sold a poem - "Damsel in Distress Redux" - to Star*Line; it should be appearing in one of the next couple of issues.
I also sold a short story - "Applesauce" - to Enchanted Conversation. That one should be up on their website in June, so I'll post a link then.
(Related, I am taking a folklore/fairy tale class from the Carterhaugh School. So expect even more twisted fairy tale retellings coming your way!)
And we finally got our copies of the Turning the Tied antho:

Also - we are going to a convention! That's right - Jeff and I have agreed to be guests at Tuscon48 this year. In person! It's November 12-14, and everyone in our house is either fully vaccinated or will be in the next few weeks, so we feel like it's a safe choice, given that it's a small con and it should be pretty easy to socially distance as needed. It will be SO good to see friends and readers face-to-face again.
Everything Else
May 5th has been declared Missing and Murdered Indigenous Persons Awareness Day in the US. #MMIWG is an issue I care deeply about, and I am so glad to see Deb Haaland (SOI) setting up a Missing and Murdered Unit (MMU)within the BIA-OJS and other states creating their own task forces in cooperation with the federal government. According to the NCIC, there were 5,712 known cases of MMIWG in 2016 (the last year for which data is available). Only 116 of those cases were logged with the DOJ. 2%. We can do better. We have to. #NoMoreStolenSisters
