Well, Crap.

*Rejection, Sword & Sorceress 22 antho, 4/20 (RT: <1 day)
Well, that was fast, and more than a little disappointing, especially since nearly everyone who read the story liked it. Ah, well, now to find another market that takes longish sword & sorcery tales. Sigh.
Everything Else
I have recently discovered Joshua Bell (thanks to Miss Snark and this very interesting article) and I think I'm in love. Just beautiful.
(The music, people! I'm married! Sheesh!)

FWIW, I did manage to get my story off to them today. Candidly, I'll be stunned if they don't reject it. It's a little light on the sword and sorcery and a little heavy on the dark and brooding (fancy that from me, eh?). I gave it a final editing pass today and thought: This story is like listening to Morrissey and the Smiths. You damn well better be in the mood for just this thing or you're going to hate it. :-) I'll let you know its fate, if you're interested.

I sent my pirates short to Realms of Fantasy this week. Have you thought about them?

I am thinking about RoF. I don't usually do postal submissions anymore, because getting to the post office is such a pain (I wasn't entirely joking about the postal service here in my last post), but I could add it into the next load of care packages, I suppose.
