I'm working on a poem for my poetry group, the first one I've written in months. Unfortunately, it thinks it wants to be a short story, but I'm trying to make it see the error of its ways -- I just have too much going on to invest in short fiction at the moment.

Everything Else

We have tickets to the Rose Bowl, but we can't go. USC vs. Illinois. I know I have a few Trojan fans who pop by every now and then, so if you're interested, drop me a line. Cheap seats are going for $250 apiece on StubHub, but we're willing to negotiate. Fight on!

I hear ya. That happens to me all the time, and sometimes it becomes a short story, but most often it just gets plugged up.
