I've been seriously remiss in not informing my vast readership of the release of the long-awaited Inquisitives #4, The Darkwood Mask, by my good friend Jeff LaSala.

Wizards has a sample chapter up, and Worlds of D&D has started the obligatory book club.

So, what are you waiting for? Go pick up your copy and join in the fun!

Everything Else

Some questions that keep me up at night, courtesy of Noggin:

Where are Max and Ruby's parents? Is she an emancipated 7-year-old with custody of her 3-year-old brother, or what? I guess rabbits don't have Child Protective Services. Which, on reflection, explains a lot.

Why is Franklin the turtle called "Franklin," whereas all his friends are referred to simply by species -- Bear, Beaver, Fox, Rabbit, Snail, etc? No doubt it's some fascist right wing conspiracy to keep the forest-dwellers down.

Why is Dora's head so freakishly big? It's obviously some sort of genetic issue. Or possibly hydrocephalus. What sort of parents would let their impaired-in-some-way child roam all over the jungle with only a monkey for a companion? Apparently CPS doesn't have jurisdiction in the rain forest, either.

Anyway, obviously I'd sleep better if I stopped watching children's television. Heh.

Yes. Obligatory. :)

Along the same lines as your Franklin question is: In Frog and Toad Are Friends, what are the names of their family friends?

Hahha! It's amazing what parents wonder. I thought the exact same thing at 6 in the morning while Bella was watching Max and Bella.
