The submission window for S&S 25 closes Friday. Unless a miracle occurs and we have a couple of days with 40 or so hours in them instead of the regular 24, it looks like I'm going to miss out on this opportunity (again), so this is just a friendly reminder to those of you who still have a shot of making the deadline. Get those stories in!
Everything Else
Where to start? Max was supposed to have scans today, but came down with a cold -- runny nose, sneezing, fever, now congestion -- so we've had to cancel and reschedule for two weeks from now. In the meantime, the new urine test results came back and the good news is the levels have gone down. The bad news is that they're still above normal. So we still won't really know anything until after the scans. And that pretty much sums up the life of the cancer family, whether newly diagnosed or in remission for 20 years -- you're always, always waiting for that other shoe to drop.
In other sick child news, we got YB's sinus CT done this morning (he did great!) and we were able to go over it with the pulmonologist. YB does have a sinus infection and his adenoids are considerably enlarged. So we're starting a 14-day course of antibiotics, which will hopefully help with the post-nasal issues contributing to his cough. Still haven't gotten the allergy test results back, so we can't start attacking the cough on that front quite yet, but hopefully soon.
And now I'm going to try and snatch a little nap to try and combat the fever that I've been running for the past couple of days. Don't lose any money betting on how successful I'll be, heh.
