I'd really hoped to improve those stats, but I think this year is going to be a bit of a wash in terms of meeting my writing goals. The book took up a lot of time I'd otherwise have devoted to short stories and poetry (I am SO NOT complaining!) and, then, of course, getting ready for the deployment. I think next year, I either need to kick it in gear, or set more realistic goals. Heh.
Writing
*Rejection, Heliotrope, 12/4 (RT: 1 month)
I also finally got assigned my mentee from the Little Owl Mentoring Program, a very bright young woman who submitted a great writing sample. I'm looking forward to working with her.
Everything Else
Hubby's test for his Seabee Combat Warfare badge got moved up, as did his promotion date. He boarded this past weekend and, after over three hours of grilling by his superiors, was awarded both his SCWS and his railroad tracks. We are so proud of him!!!!!! Hoo-rah!
Interesting thing #46: I have visited every state in the Mountain and Pacific time zones, but only two in the Central time zone (TX and MO) and one in the Eastern time zone (NY). Marcy Rockwell, World Traveler. Heh.

Date: 2006-12-05 02:55 pm (UTC)Whoot! Congrats! My hubby has been preparing for his board for for months now. He was supposed to go in November but thanks to a platton sargent with a bug up his butt he won't be going until January.
As far as travel, I've covered most of the west and Midwest, but only a smattering of states on the East Coast. Looks like I need to do some traveling before we come back to Arizona!
