Writing

As you know, Bob, I just finished up the final draft of The Shard Axe. So I figured it was time to head on over to the DDO Forums and start letting people know about it.

In the ensuing chaos (heh), a few questions have come up multiple times, so I thought I'd just go ahead and address them here. Cuz I'm helpful that way.

Q: In what chapter do all the characters die from lag?

A: My editor made me cut that one out. Too much white space.

Q: What, no Kindle version?

A: Not yet, but I imagine some sort of e-version will be made available the closer we get to the actual pub date (9/6/11). So keep checking back!

Q: Will you put my player character in your next book?

A: Player character cameos are always a possibility (we did some of those in the regular Eberron line), but in order for your character to make it into the next book, there has to BE a next book. So buy this one!

And thanks to everyone over there who pre-ordered a book today, offered their congratulations, gave me suggestions for the next book, and/or praised Legacy of Wolves! I appreciate the warm welcome and look forward to chatting with you all more over the coming months!

Everything Else

How many turkey dogs do you think it's possible to eat in one day before you actually sprout feathers and a waddle? I'm thinking Max is getting pretty darn close....

Those D&D folks are good people. Just because you told them to buy the book, they probably will. And the majority of them just love reading too.

Congrats on finishing the draft!

No way, I was totally being sincere! They are really good people! Doesn't hurt that they have some good writers to follow either. ;)

I cannot WAIT to get this book! Plan to come to my blog/website for the whole interview and giveaway process the moment the ARCs are out/books are on the shelves. :-D

Also, you’ve been nominated by moi as being Worth Your Weight in a ‘Gator Battle! Head over to my Win Stuff <http://www.ginikoch.com/winstuff.htm> page and get the skinny, along with the Battle Badge and instructions.

They’re easy, and by dint of being one of my personal blog selections, once you pass along the honor, you’ll get an extra entry chance to win the prizes! Why? ‘Cause I KNOW you’re worth your weight!

Love, Gini Koch

I can't wait for you to get it, either! I think it's even better than LoW, and your fans in particular will appreciate some of the differences, I think. ;)

I shall head over forthwith and check out the Gator Battle (refraining from jokes about the 1996 Fiesta Bowl, heh)!
