Don't know who my fellow panelists will be, but I'll be sure and post that info when I have it. Should be a ton of fun (especially since I'll be rooming with my two favorite con girls, Gini Koch and Nicole, heh)! Stop by and say hi if you're in the area!

Everything Else

A few folks pointed out that I neglected to give an update here on Max's cardiologist appointment (though I did on Facebook/Twitter; another reason to friend/follow me there). So, for those of you who only read the blog, here is the roundup of doctor visits from the past month or so.

Nephrology - Max's blood pressures continue to bounce around, so no change in his meds for now. Recheck in 6 months.

2-yr WBV - Max is hitting all his milestones, and is doing well growth-wise (approx. 31 lbs and 34 inches tall). Restarted immunizations that had to be stopped due to chemo. (In fact, I need to call to schedule the rest of those. Oops.)

Oncology - Blood work and urine look good. Scans in 2 months to check tumor size/growth, etc.

Cardiology - VSD is essentially the same size it was at last echo (3 mm). The cardiologist had expected the hole to close on its own, but it's not causing Max any problems, so we are going to continue to just monitor it for now. There is still a risk of aortic valve involvement, because of where the VSD is located, but any problems stemming from that would take a long time to develop, so annual echoes will catch them before they get serious. Recheck in a year.

All in all, he's doing quite well (especially considering his bevy of medical challenges) and is as happy and active as ever, thanks be to God. And to all of you, as always, for your continued prayers/support. Never doubt they make a difference. I certainly don't.
