Total sales: 11
Ave. submissions/month for 2006: 5
Percent sales for 2006: 17%
Well, my subs/month average went down from 13 in 2005 to 5 in 2006, but my sales percentage remained the same at 17%. For 2006, I'd set the goal of 100 words/day and 15 subs/month. I'd say I met the letter of the words/day goal since the novel clocked in at over 95K, but I don't think I really I met the spirit of it. And, of course, I fell woefully short on the subs/month goal.
I'm not sure how the deployment will affect my writing this year, so I'm hesitant to set any major goals. I've also realized that goals can change over the course of a year, so I need to be more flexible with them. For now, my writing goals for 2007 will consist of the following:
*average 5 subs/month
*join the International Association of Media Tie-in Writers
*have one complete novel ms. ready to market by the end of the year
I think these are doable. Then again, I rang in the New Year with an awful head cold, so it may be the pseudo-ephedrine talking. Heh.
Writing
*SALE!, Ideomancer, 1/1 (RT: 1 month)
Woohoo! First sale of the year, on the first day of the year! Hopefully, this will set the tone for 2007!
Everything Else
As mentioned above, 2007 began the way 2006 ended -- with a wicked head cold. Hopefully, this will NOT set the tone for the rest of the year. Heh.

Deployment
Date: 2007-01-02 05:00 pm (UTC)My hubby got his orders last week and shipped out this morning, so I may be headed back to the Phx area this spring. If you have any quesitons or issues with anything deployment related, feel free to email me. I may not know the answer, but I can probably find some one who does!
You all will be in our prayers!
