Got the final cover art for The Shard Axe, with my name all up in lights. Let's all pause and admire it for a moment, shall we? Heh.

Everything Else

Not that most of you care (and not that I care all that much myself, when it comes right down to it), but I've only got one thing to say about the latest SFPA dust-up: the word "fail" is grossly overused, and usually by the wrong people.

In other more interesting news, Max is on hour 50 of his 72-hour patch test. Doing well so far, but the last day is always the hardest, since that's when the itching begins in earnest, and he's not allowed to have any antihistamines until the test is over.

Also in other news, Middle Boy has had his glasses for, what, 2 months? Already managed to break them. I suppose I shouldn't be surprised - he scratched the scratch-proof lenses within a week, heh.

Finally, Cars 2 is not nearly as bad as you all led me to believe. I expect written apologies forthwith. Heh.

That is a _very_ attractive cover!

My son, Corin, is very hard on his glasses, though he seems most apt to break/bend/lose pieces of the frames. For his last pair, even though he's now 15 and should be more careful and responsible, we bought him the flexible, hard to break frames. Hopefully they will last longer.

Oh, and getting back to the cover, my daughter, Jamie, just glanced at the screen and exclaimed, "Dungeons & Dragons1 Cool!" I explained that the cover was for a book you'd written for the D&D online realm, and she got very excited. How 10 year old friendly is this one?

It's PG-13, so it depends on how mature she is. I will email you.

I just LURVE your cover! It's truly awesome. Can't wait to get the book in my hot little hands! (I expect a copy NO LATER than CopperCon, madame, or I'll know the reason why!)
