Just a few things, because I haven't posted for awhile and I don't want you all to feel neglected, heh.

First, The Shard Axe has spent most of this week in the Kindle Store top 100 for Role-Playing & Fantasy books, so thank you all for that! It releases in a month, so you don't have to wait too much longer!

For those of you who are local, I'll be at CopperCon 31 over Labor Day weekend, and will have copies of The Shard Axe on hand, so if you can't wait til the 6th, drop by! I'll also be doing a ton of really fun panels, so come hear me wax poetic on a multitude of subjects. And that's not just a figure of speech - I'm actually doing a poetry workshop, the first one ever (to my knowledge) at CuCon, so I'd love a high turn-out! Genre poets, unite! Heh.

If you can't wait even that long and you live in the Pacific Northwest, I've been invited by Turbine (the awesome folks behind both DDO and LOTRO) to sign some books for them at PAX the last weekend in August. Unfortunately, there were some miscommunications along the line and I don't actually have a badge (and PAX is sold out, alas), so I don't know yet if I will actually be there or not, but I'm hopeful. Either way, I'll keep you updated, and even if I can't be there, they may still have the books - a whole week early! So don't let my absence stop you from picking up a copy or two! Heh.

And I just got editorial approval on my outline for the next book, so I'm hard at work on the sequel even as I type this (well, okay, just as soon as I'm done typing this, heh). Yaay!

Everything Else

The first week of school is in the bag here, and you can almost stick a fork in the second one. Going well so far, even though it's been murderously hot here. How hot? Well, our water heater went out yesterday (to the tune of almost $1000, alas), and I was still able to take a hot shower this morning. Yeah. Think about that one for a minute.

Okay, well now that I've given you your Marcy fix for the week, it's back to work. No rest for the mortgaged, heh.

Ah, the joys of living in AZ... I somethings think we can turn the water heater completely off during the summer.
