Writing
*Submission, Strange Horizons, 1/19
*Rejection, Lone Star Stories, 1/19 (RT: 1 day)
Eric had to think about the poem overnight, but ultimately decided to pass. Still, it's the closest I've ever gotten with him, so I'm pleased.
My writing group met on Saturday for just the second time. It went very well; they're all very sharp readers and had some great ideas for the story I am rewriting per an editor's request. Hopefully I can get that one whipped into shape and out the door soon.
Everything Else
Spent the afternoon working on EB's science project (determining how well green beans grow under different colored lights). We did the display board, and he will give his presentation on Tuesday, then the Science Fair is Friday. Hopefully he'll do well; we certainly put enough effort into it!
And I heard it's snowing in the West Valley. Of course EB wants to pack up the car and drive to find the snow, but without knowing exactly where the snow is falling, that's just a wild goose chase in the making. He'll have to settle for being able to see his breath when he takes the dog out to go potty. Heh.
