VIRTUAL LEMONADE
Apr. 20th, 2012 03:24 pmWriting
Just got word from the lovely agent that I sold a short story to Penumbra. Yaay! Look for "Epidora" in the June issue.
Also, my giveaway over at The Bookpushers is officially closed. I don't know yet who the winner is, but when I do, I'll post a hearty congrats (and ship your prize, of course, heh). Thanks so much to everyone who entered - you all had some great questions on writing tie-ins, and hopefully I was able to demistify the process for you a little.
Everything Else
Max's big brother (aka Eldest Boy) is using his Senior Project to help raise money to find a cure for neuroblastoma. He's going to try to raise $500 in one month, starting today, via Alex's Lemonade Stand (it's a virtual fundraiser, so there won't actually be any lemonade - sorry). The requirements for the project are that a) it has to be something he cares about and b) it has to be an attempt to make a difference in the world. I think raising money to help find a cure for his little brother and other kids with cancer meets those requirements perfectly, don't you? I'm very proud of him (and I can't believe he graduates in a little over a month - yikes)!
Finding a Cure for Max - Arthur's Senior Project
Help if you can, but even if you can't, please pass the link on - the more people who see it, the better. Thank you!
(And thanks so much to everyone who has already donated - he's already halfway to his goal, and the link's only been live since midnight. You all ROCK!)
