Everything Else

Your response to Eldest Boy's Senior Project has been nothing short of amazing - he's already more than 3/5 of the way to his goal, and the link's only been live since Friday! Thank you SO much! Wouldn't it be awesome if he exceeded his goal? We joked about setting it at $2012, since he's the "Class Of," but we thought that might be too high. Maybe you'll prove us wrong? We'd love it if you did, because the real winners here are Max and all the other kids battling cancer. And, of course, all of YOU are the heroes, for opening your heart to a little boy most of you have only met through pictures.

The art is pretty, and has a strong thematic tie-in to previous releases in the series. However, I find the combination of title with art to be ambiguous. I'm not left with a clear impression of what the story might be about. I'm curious about how you came up with the title.

It's one of those titles that doesn't click until the end of the story, though it has several layers of meaning. This was originally a much shorter story; I suppose the title could have been lengthened along with the word count, but it just sort of stuck.
