Just a quick roundup of stuff, since I've got an interview with the lovely Sig & Anne of DDOcast in just a bit.
First off, the 2012 Scribe Award winners were announced last night. The Shard Axe did not win in its category, alas - that honor went to Brimstone Angels by Erin Evans (who was my editor for The Shard Axe). Congrats to all the winners!
I also have another new release from Musa coming up this week. "Shaala and the Sea of Dried Tears," the 4th installment in my Arabian-flavored female-centric sword & sorcery series, Tales of Sand and Sorcery, releases Friday, 7/20.
And, finally, last but not least, the giveaway for a free copy of BOTH Skein of Shadows and Gini Koch's The Night Beat is still going strong, but it ends Monday 7/23. Don't miss out! It's super easy - all you have to do is tell me who your favorite kickass heroine is, and why. Enter here. Good luck!
Everything Else
Finally heard from Max's oncologist. The tumor appears to have grown, but they don't know why, since there are no other indications of progression. We've got an appointment Wednesday to go over the results in more detail, but the upshot is that we're moving up his next full set of scans by three months. Definitely a step in the wrong direction. :(
