SEPTEMBER BLOW SOFT

Had a great time at CopperCon with all the usual suspects and some new folks. Even got to crash one of GOH Ari Marmell's panels (there were no actual dice involved in this one, thank goodness):

Sold some books, got compared to Sara Gilbert (?!), met The Most Principaled Man in the World (James A. Owen), hung out with Catwoman, and downed approximately 6,241 gallons of Diet Dr. Pepper. All in all, enough fun for two cons - which is a good thing, since it may be moving to a different and considerably less pleasant venue next year and, if so, I probably won't be attending.
In other writing news, the WotC Novels Book Club for Skein of Shadows has started up. Come join us!
Speaking of book clubs, I'm trying to work out the details to do an interview with the kind folks over at The Tome Show for their book club, too. More details on that when I have them.
Finally, the latest installment of my Arabian-flavored female-centric S&S series from Musa, Tales of Sand and Sorcery, releases next Friday (9/14). This one is titled "Unmade" and it's another Kij story. This is my favorite one to date - I hope you'll like it as much as I do!
Everything Else
This past weekend was the kickoff for college football season. My Huskers handled Southern Miss with authority, and QB Taylor Martinez finished the game with an impressive 76.5% pass completion rate. Looking forward to seeing what he and the rest of the team do this season, especially against UCLA this coming weekend. GBR! Beat the Bruins!
Also, Max has scans this week, where we'll find out if the recent tumor growth is due to disease progression or not. Probably the most frightening scans we've had to face to date. Please keep him in your prayers/thoughts. Thank you.
