I attended my dad's memorial service Monday. I've posted the speech I gave on FB, and will post it here as a separate entry, for those of you who have asked to see it, but aren't on FB. In the meantime, here is a picture form the service:

Dad planned his memorial in advance, and wanted a chair set up, with his hat and Bible on it and his coat hung on the back, like he'd just stepped away for a few minutes and would be back soon. He meant it as a reminder for us, that while we have to be apart for a time, we will see each other again. Until then, Dad. I love you.
