NORTH CAROLINA COMICON SCHEDULE
Nov. 6th, 2013 04:53 pmWriting
A quick note to remind you East Coasters that I'll be in NC this weekend at the 2013 North Carolina Comicon with my writing partner Jeff Mariotte. Not too much on the schedule:
Sunday, Nov 10, 2:45pm – Comics & Novels, Panel Room A
"Between them, Marsheila (Marcy) Rockwell and Jeff Mariotte have written more than fifty novels. Mariotte has also held several positions in comic book publishing, and has written well over 100 comic books and graphic novels, and Rockwell is an accomplished, multiple-award-nominated poet and editor. Some of Mariotte’s novels have been based on Superman and other DC Comics characters, Spider-Man, Gen13, and 30 Days of Night (and properties that have appeared in comics, including Conan, Star Trek, Buffy and Angel, and more, some of which he’s also written and/or edited in comic book form), and Rockwell has just turned in a novel that launches a trilogy based on a well-known comic created by one of the most prominent writers in comic book history. They’ll discuss the novel-writing process, the comics-writing process, how they’re alike and how they’re different, and the specific demands, expectations, and rewards of writing novels based on comic book properties."
Jeff also has a Vandroid panel earlier in the day (1:15, Panel Room B), but for the rest of the time, you'll likely find us hawking our wares at Table A58 (I believe). So come by and say hi! We'd love to see you!
Everything Else
Less than a month until D(eployment) Day. Blogging should resume at a little more regular pace after that point. Thanks for your patience.
