Had a great weekend at DarkCon! Got to hang out with (or at least hug in passing) all the usual suspects, including my BFF Gini Koch, Terry L. Smith, T.M. Williams, Saul Garnell, Edward, Joseph, Brad, Lee, Nadine, Hal, Dee, Andrea, Duncan, Chris, Rob, Linda, and new friends Missy and Javier and Archimedes the owl (apologies for whomever I missed, because I always miss someone).

After saying hi to everyone, I did a fun interview with Cathy Book for The Nameless Zine (should be up on Wednesday; I'll post a link when it goes live).

A quick snack at the well-stocked con suite (they even had a gluten-free table!) and then it was off to my first panel of the con, on tie-ins, with Mike Stackpole and Susan Wright. I've paneled with Mike tons of times, but this was my first time with Susan, and she was awesome:

Then I signed some books:

Then I had to go home, because no sitter.

Then Sunday I was back, but with my two younger boys in tow because, again, no sitter. First I introduced them to Archimedes:

Then I took them on a spin through the dealer's room, where they acquired musical hand-carved tree frogs and steampunk water guns. Then it was off to lunch, which mistakenly overlapped with my 1:30 panel that I was sure didn't start until 2:30. Oops! I was a little late for that one, but got to make a grand entrance, which Edward captured on video and which will be included in the next More Geek Than Gay segment, so I'll be sure and post that when it goes live, heh. Anyway, the panel was on writing fiction at multiple different lengths, with Gini and Terry:

Then we took a last look around and bowed out of dinner with everyone at the Chinese Cultural Center, because we were all tuckered out. But the boys really enjoyed their first con experience, and I got to see old friends and make some new ones, and sell/sign quite a few books, so it was checks in the Win column all around. Thanks to everyone who stopped by to say hi, and for those who couldn't make it, hope to see you next time!

Everything Else

I will humbly refer you back up there ^^. Heh.
