Got my contrib. copy (and payment) for Wondrous Web Worlds Vol. 6 today. Shiny!

Everything Else

Hubby phoned at oh-dark-thirty to let me know he'd arrived safely in the sandbox. Of course, in my deployment-induced insomniac state, I'd been up til 4 in the morning and had finally fallen into bed without the cell phone, so I missed the call. Still kicking myself for that one, since I probably won't hear from him now for another week. Stupid time zones.

We were really happy with WWW6. I think this is one of, if not the best edition we've ever done...and that's really saying something given the talent we've published at ProMart and now Sam's Dot...

Glad you liked it.

I hear ya :( I've gotten so paranoid about ALWAYS having my cell phone with me in case he gets a chance to call. I don't know where in the sandbox yours is, but I've found that mine will call me as soon as he gets up or just before bed, so I knwo to be ready for calls at 2pm and 9pm Eastern.

Does he have email access? That's how we've been doing most of our contact. It's not like hearing his voice, but at least I know he's still okay.

It's nice to know that I'm not the ONLY one with deployment-induced insomnia! I could never speep on the nights he had a night jump either.

Hang in there. I'm told it does get easier (I keep waiting for that to happen, I'll let you know when it does!).

Congrats on the WWW6 contrib. piece too! I'd love to get paid for my writing...but I'd have to actually WRITE somethign first I suppose! ;)

I forgot I wasn't logged in. The Anonymous above was me.

I figured it was you; you're the only person I know with a hubby deployed who reads my blog. ;)

He did get to call today; they're not at the FOB yet, so they get more than the once-a-week MWR call. It was SO good to hear his voice!

RE: Insomnia. Yeah, I get it even when he's on AT. I just don't sleep well when he's not here, unless I'm popping sleeping pills every night, which, you know, just isn't a good idea.

But, on the upside, I have gotten to watch Aliens three times since he left. ;)

"Game over, man. Game over!"

LOL! I've been watching all the TV show DVDs that he didn't care for (Forever Knight, The Flash, Knight Rider).

And I've been knitting like a madwoman!

LOL!

I got The Flash for my birthday & watched the pilot last night. Holds up well, don't you think? ;-)

Re: insomnia. Ladies, have you tried taking Valerian? I find it really helps me when I have insomnia.

*HUGS* to you both!
