Writing

Tucson Festival of Books was awesome, as always! (Thanks, Mira!) Jeff and I did a workshop on collaborating that was well-attended and enjoyed by all. It was the first time we'd done that particular workshop, so we were very pleased that it went so well.

We were supposed to do a V-Wars panel with our friend (and V-Wars creator) Jonathan Maberry, but some health issues meant he couldn't participate, so Jeff and I and Von Navarro and Wes Ochse soldiered on with the wonderful Linda J Addison as our moderator. Here's a photo I stole off of Von's FB page, since I forgot to have someone take one for Jeff and me.

I also got to meet author Thomas Perry and his lovely wife, Jo. Here's a picture Jo took of us, which I'm posting mainly because my hair looks good in it (a woman even came up and complimented me on it out of the blue, which NEVER happens, LOL).

When we weren't at panels, we were at our regular booth with the Dreams Convention folks. (I realized belatedly I never posted the booth number - doh! - but you all found us anyway - thank you!) Always lovely to see Deena Remiel (smooches), Kris Tualla, Terry L Smith, Mark Rude, Duann Black, and many others.

Anyway, it was a wonderful, if exhausting weekend, and we can't wait to do it again next year!

Tentative plans for the rest of the year include the Western Writers of America Convention (Jeff was nominated for a Spur Award this year!) and the KJAZZ StoryFest in June, MegaMania in July, CoKoCon (Aug 30 - Sept 2), and Tuscon Comic-Con and TusCon in November. There may be other events, but those are all I can think of off the top of my head. Hopefully we'll see some of you there!

Also, there's a great new review of Bridges of Longing over at A Writing Life. Go check it out! (Thanks, Syd!)

Everything Else

Lots of things happening on the personal front which have made writing time a very rare commodity indeed, but there's a glimmer of light that I hope is the end of the tunnel and not the train. Fingers crossed!
