Also, I have cover art!!!! And, oh my word, is it gorgeous. I mean, GORGEOUS. The artist got my main character exactly right. I am thrilled.
Too bad you'll all have to wait a few more months to see it. Heh.
Everything Else
Well, EB was in Urgent Care over the weekend. His cold has morphed into one of those hack-a-lung-out coughs he gets once or twice a year and now he's on oral steroids and albuterol every four hours. Can we say, "fun?" Or, not. Mostly not. But he's at least starting to sound better finally (even if he is amped up on steroids like an overpaid baseball player), so that's good.
What's also good is the call I put in to the IRS today. What's that, you ask? How can any call to the IRS possibly be described as "good?" When that calls ends with you NOT owing any additional taxes for 2005, after all. I still need to check with our accountant (that's right - we have a real CPA now, not one of those H&R Block hacks) to make sure the IRS isn't yanking my chain, but it looks like they're going to accept our 2005 taxes as filed and forget about the extra $2300 we owe. Which, as you know if you've had ANY dealings with the IRS whatsoever, is nothing short of a bona fide miracle.
Thank you, God!
