CORONAVIRUS CANCELLATIONS

Good news first.
I had my first poetry sale of the year just a few days into January, and "A Curious Counting Rhyme" was published in the February 2020 issue of Spaceports & Spidersilk.
Also, my poem, "Stormbound," published in Polu Texni (which, coincidentally, had the most nominated poems of any publication last year), has been nominated for the Rhysling Award (long category)! Very excited, especially as a) I have not been writing/selling a lot of poetry of late, and b) it's been a few years since I've had a Rhysling nomination. So, yaay!!!
In other, less exciting news, Tucson Festival of Books, where Jeff and I were scheduled to be presenting authors this upcoming weekend, has (wisely) been cancelled.
Likewise, an event we were supposed to attend and that I was particularly excited about, but had not yet posted about here, Western Perceptions, a writing festival for Métis youth in Alberta, has been postponed until the fall.
Jeff and I are still tentatively scheduled for LepreCon 46 in April, but that may change, based on quarantine requirements (the governor has currently declared a public health emergency in AZ).
Everything Else
Still off work, a situation that is looking like it might become permanent, due to nerve damage in my hands. Sucks, but it is what it is.
Meanwhile, it's almost the best part of the year - Aries Season! Your time to shine, fellow Rams!
