So, I've been sitting on this announcement, but now that it's up for pre-order, the cat is out of the bag. The International Association of Media Tie-In Writers (IAMTW) has put together a charity anthology in support of the World Literacy Foundation entitled Turning the Tied and it is now available for pre-order on Amazon (ebook only at the moment, but the paperback version should be up shortly). The anthology features uplifting stories with some of your favorite public domain characters.
Many of you have heard/read my story of learning to read at the intrepid age of three, with my first book being Ozma of Oz. Jeff even commissioned some original Ozma art from our friend, James A. Owen:

So imagine my delight to learn she was in the public domain! My story featuring her is entitled "A Prisoner Freed in Oz" and it is dedicated to a young trans girl I love very much, Mae.

Day 2,483 of quarantine. We remain COVID-free (knock on wood, thank you St. Adrian of Nicomedia, etc.). One of our number has been vaccinated; we are hoping others will soon follow. Still no cannibalism, but we are all turning a bit feral.
