Back from CA. Hubby lost his cell phone and got his camera stolen, YB spent both the to and from flights screaming and came home with a 103-degree temperature, and it's 30-some degrees outside and 60-some degrees inside, since we had the heat off the whole time we were gone.

But, still...it's good to be home.

UPDATE: Cell phone was used to call South America, among other places, before we called to cancel service. Sigh.

Thanks. Unfortunately, it gets worse. Apparently, my husband had a message w/our SSNs saved on his voicemail with a really stupidly easy password and the voicemail was accessed before we canceled service. So guess who's spending the rest of the day on the phone with credit fraud services? Sigh.

How're are things with the baby? What are you even doing on the computer, anyway? ;)

Oh, no! Wow, that's scary. What a way to end the year.

Baby's sleeping (as newborns are wont to do) in the crib, which got set up in my office today. (Eventually, my office is moving downstairs to part of the family room, and baby will get this room to herself.) She's happy and reasonably healthy (touch jaundiced, and way too fond of spitting up). And I'm supposed to be working on an index right now, but a headache is making concentration difficult.
