Got a completely unexpected phone call last night from Jane Jewell, Executive Director for the SFWA. We talked for an hour about why I hadn't yet re-upped for this year (even though I'm qualified for Active membership now, which means I can vote for the Nebulas, etc.), the upshot of which is I'm completely unimpressed by the high level of asshattery evinced by some of the organization's most prominent and vocal members. However, I did agree to give it one more year (mostly since membership is a tax write-off). Yes, I am a pushover.
Also, met my deadline. Yaay, me.

Completely forgot my mom's birthday yesterday in my zeal to complete #2, above. I'm going to hell now.
