Writing

Did a quick stock signing at the local Barnes & Noble today. They had 16 copies of my book on the shelf. The manager was very nice, telling me they wouldn't have so many copies if it wasn't selling well. From her mouth to God's ear, heh.

Also finally got my nominations in for the 2008 Rhysling Award. There are always so many good poems out there (and I probably only read about a quarter to a third of what's actually published in the field in any given year) that the decision is excruciating -- which explains why I always put mine off til the last minute, heh.

Everything Else

Hubby and I did our Valentine's celebration today. A nice lunch, and shopping at B&N, the local comic shop, and Best Buy. I got a new Wonder Woman figure and a set of Law & Order:CI DVDs, and hubby got an iPod speaker-thingy. Yes, we are both nerds. Very happy nerds today, heh.

Oh, and if you happen to have the Feb. 18 issue of People handy, check out page 81 (the disastrous Valentine's Day dates). Those are my neighbors.

That's great to hear!

Have you tried Paul Kemp printing check yet? I think there's a way to see how many printings the book is in by one of the numbers on the bar code, but for the life of me, I can't remember which...

Well, it's unlikely this book will see more than one printing, heh.

How many copies are in a printing?

I check the Eberron area every time I drop by a book store and there are always a number of your book stocked. The number is always different, sometimes more and sometimes less, so the local inventory is changing quite a bit (ie being sold and restocked).
