Everything Else

My last living grandparent -- my Grandma Doris -- passed away this morning at 7:44 AM (PST). My dad had had to put her in a nursing home over Christmas, and she was in a lot of pain, just praying to die there at the end. They finally got the pain under control, so she was at peace when she passed, with both of her sons in the room with her. I'd been meaning to call her, and was getting together a packet of pictures for her to put up in her room, but I wasn't done yet. I just thought I had more time. But, then, we always do, don't we?

Very sorry o hear about your loss, Marcy. It does seem like we always think we have more time then what we truly have.

My last remaining grandparent is 93 and seems to be fading. This gives me a good kick in the pants to go up and talk to her.
