Got payment today for both my poem in the Poetry from the Trenches antho and my story in FARthing, for a total of $200. I think that is both the most I've ever made for a short story, and the most I've ever made for a poem (at least on a per line basis). Color me pleased (which, in this case, means green, heh).
Everything Else
The ILs were down for EB's birthday, and left their sickness behind. I now have the headache/sore throat/body ache combo, and YB has the runny nose/fever special. Yaay.
In other news, we have termites. Apparently, they are cement-eating termites, since we discovered their mud tunnels in the middle of the concrete garage floor, nowhere near any wood. Obviously, they came from outer space. I wonder if the aliens left them behind when they were peeing in the pool?
Which begs the question -- why does everyone think it's okay to leave their bugs at my house????
Interesting thing #37: I have a seasonal middle name. My best friend in grade school, junior high and much of high school also had a seasonal middle name. Her sister's best friend also had a seasonal name (first, not middle). Together, we covered three of the four seasons. I guess we should have formed a band, heh.

Fun names #38: I have cousins named Lemon and Orange (they're sisters). I have other cousins (all boys) whose last name is Hay and their names are Shad, Shane, and Shay. *shakes head*
