An interesting review of my Rhysling-nominated poem, "Another Fairy Tale Ending" (Dreams & Nightmares, Winter 2008) by Joshua Gage. If you don't want to click over, here is my favorite part:
"What I particularly enjoyed was the layering of themes which Rockwell was able to achieve through her images, exploring the potential of speculative poetry. Though not necessarily as an objective craft issue as image or meter, the ability to add depth to a poem through its narrative is a skill that many poets would be wise to hone."
It's not all wine and roses, though, and since the reviewer took the time to review EVERY poem in the 2009 Rhysling Anthology, it really would behoove you to click on the link above. You might learn a thing or two about poetry, or find a new poet, or just be entertained and intrigued for a spell. Win/win, I'd say.
Everything Else
Thanks to everyone for your kind words RE: my kitty, Bel. Sorry for yesterday's pity party -- it was just one of those days, you know?
To those of you who had even worse days than I did, please know you are in my prayers.
