Writing

So I know some of you out there in Betaland have been anxiously awaiting an email from me (well, I hope you have, anyway). Since I will unexpectedly have a little more writing time this weekend (see below), I just may be able to fulfill that little wish of yours, heh.

Everything Else

So, a few things. First, in all the hubbub, I forgot to mention that YB got chosen as Star of the Week for his kindergarten class! Yaay! He also had his last Running Club race (#342) and had his end-of-season breakfast, in which he received his certificate for the 25-mile Club and a nice ribbon (he actually did 42 miles over the course of the whole season, but the next certificate is for the 50-mile Club -- missed it by that much). Plus, you know, donuts! So he was happy.

We'd intended to leave for CA right after the breakfast, but Max has had a runny nose and a slight cough for the last few days and last night it got appreciably worse. He coughed so hard he threw up several times and was running a pretty steady temperature of 100. Since I didn't really want to be shuffling him off to some strange ER while on the road, and it's a good bet that he's still on the climbing axis of this particular illness, hubby and I decided it was best to keep him home. So hubby and YB went to the wedding, while Max, EB and I are staying home. Hence the extra time for writing -- in between wiping snot and cleaning up phlegmy vomit, that is.

Also, after consulting about a gajillion folks higher up on the food chain, Max's oncologist decided to go ahead with the scans without making any changes to Max's meds. So the scans have been rescheduled for next week: injection on the 9th, scans on the 10th, follow-up on the 11th, where he'll also have his monthly bloodwork and urine tests done and get his antibiotic. Let the scanxiety begin anew! Heh.
